HURRICANE Irma and Maria UPDATE: Although the Sept storms of 2017 had a major impact on the island, our units were completely UNDAMAGED by the hurricanes. As of Dec 2107 the power is BACK ON and most of the island is back to normal. There is still some damage to Bolongo Beach and Iggies that likely won't be fixed till the end of 2018 but for the most part St Thomas is the same legendary vacation destination as it always has been. Storms are a fact of life in this part of the world and things recover fast. The thought of these storms should in NO WAY deter you from making plans to visit St Thomas or St John.

We have been vacationing in the US Virgin Islands since 1996. In 2016 we purchased our first fantastic updated two bedroom, two bathroom condominium at Watergate Villas on Bolongo Beach, St. Thomas. The condo offers spacious accommodations for up to 5 adults or 6 people including kids. In 2017 we purchased another unit, a studio/efficiency unit that rents for a lower price point and can accommodate up to 3 people. Now in 2018 we add to the list this AMAZING oceanfront unit that is literally so close to the water if you want to be closer you're going to need a BOAT.
All of our units have southeast facing patios, so you are shaded from the afternoon sun and lounging on the balcony is completely comfortable all day. We have smoke/fire detectors in each unit and safety GFCI electrical outlets in the kitchen, baths and on the patio. We also have GREAT water pressure and new showerheads in the bathrooms. These are things that we all take for granted in the States, but MANY rental condos on the island have NONE of them! We have it covered for you!
2 Bedroom 2 Bathroom Units - Poolside or Oceanfront units
With 1100 square feet of space, no one will ever feel cramped like many hotel rooms. Each of the 2 bedrooms has its own attached bath and the bathrooms are accessible to the living area, without going through the bedrooms. There are 3 A/C units, one in each bedroom and one in the living area. There is also a smart DVD player on the living room TV for streaming your online entertainment subscriptions plus hundreds of cable channels and free WiFi.
The master suite has direct access to the patio and OCEAN VIEW with PREMIUM, Brand New King-size bed, LCD TV. The second bedroom can be set up either as two single beds or as a one king bed depending on your group's needs. We have BRAND NEW thick "pillow top" mattresses in there as well. We also have a high quality self-inflating air mattress that can be used in the living room to accommodate more guests if needed. We use the airbed in lieu of a pullout sofa because sofabeds are never comfortable anyways.
Our poolside 2 bedroom unit is the one of the BEST LOCATED units in the complex for family vacations. Direct oceanfront and direct poolfront. From the 30 foot expansive patio, it is only 10 steps to the pool and 30 steps to the sand....it doesn't get any better than that When you have kids that want to spend a lot of time in the pool! See the red PIN on the google maps photo for exact location of the unit on the property. This unit is the MOST convenient to the parking lot and coin operated laundry facilities are located just 20 feet from your door.
Our newly purchased second floor OCEANFRONT 2 bedroom unit is so unique in that your balcony is closer to the ocean and you would be if you were on the sixth floor of a cruise ship. In March 2018 we completely redecorated the unit including all new paint and electrical outlets as well as 90% of the furniture, kitchen appliances and utensils, and cookware is brand new as well. Check out the pictures...... you will absolutely love it.
Studio Unit -
The studio unit has all the same amenities and quality furnishings as the 2 bedroom unit, but at a lower price. It is approximately 550 square feet, and has a PLUSH King size bed plus a quality air mattress for up to 3 total guests. The living area has A/C and a ceiling fan, plus a large LED SmartTV with premium cable and WiFI. There is a dining area / breakfast bar off the kitchen. All furniture and appliances in the studio are brand new as of Feb 2017. The studio unit is located in building 14, about 100 yards south of the main pool, oceanfront, with a fabulous constant view of the waves. You are so close to the water that you could literally throw a coconut from the balcony and hit the ocean! I have done it!
By renting MULTIPLE units we can accommodate a party of up to 15 guests!

REAL QUALITY premium bedding and mattresses on all beds...if you've ever stayed in a condo or resort with cheap "rental" mattresses, you know how valuable this is. A good night sleep makes for a much better vacation.
Premium cookware, dishes and kitchen utensils all new in Nov 2016 including new blender, coffee maker, and toaster.
A starter supply of high quality toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap, and dishwasher detergent.
Heavy duty plastic wrap and aluminum foil that we brought from home...good luck finding that on the island.
Pool and beach toys for the kids, beach chairs, snorkel equipment, coolers, shopping bags and a Bluetooth radio for your enjoyment....less to bring from home!
Basically, the BEST of everything....We spare no expense. This is our vacation home too and we only have the best for ourselves and YOU.
The condo complex has easy walking access to THREE great restaurants. Mim's Seaside Bistro is open for dinner and is located on the property. Iggie's Beach Bar, voted the BEST beach bar on St Thomas, is just 100 yards down the beach for appetizers, burgers and other island fare. Iggie's is a blast at night with parties and karaoke most nights. They also have beach volleyball and lounge chairs right on the sand....you won't want to leave! The Lobster Grill is a great restaurant at the Bolongo Bay Beach Resort just 200 yds down the beach. Very good food and affordable prices for breakfast lunch and dinner. The resort also offers jet ski and paddle board rentals, sailing trips, a PADI dive shop that offers scuba classes all for a fee.
Not only is this condo's location on the property most appealing, the condos location on the island is IDEAL! As you can see from the map photo, anything you may need is just a short drive away! St Thomas' historic capital of Charlotte Amalie is just a 12 minute drive west to the BEST duty-free shopping in the Caribbean, and the yachting hub of Red Hook is only a 10 minute drive east. Passenger and car ferries to St. John and the British Virgin Islands leave from Red Hook. The local shopping area with multiple grocery stores, Kmart, Walgreens, banks, movie theater and even a Home Depot is only 10 minutes away at the Tutu Park Mall area. SCUBA / Snorkeling and Sailboat trips are available from Bolongo Beach easy walking distance from the condos.
Although we just purchased these units, we have been coming here for YEARS. We know all the good restaurants and which ones are rip offs. St Thomas is famous for it's HAPPY HOUR deals and we can tell you which restaurants and bars have the best deals.
We know where to get the best price on groceries and which are the best beaches. We know which tours and activities are worth doing and which are tourist traps. We know which days are the best to shop in town to avoid the cruise ship crowds and which stores are the best. We know many "hidden" gems that will make your vacation experience one to remember for a lifetime....and we know you will be coming back to stay with us again soon.
