This was my mother's toy from the late 1930s. The toy is original. Entirely made of wood and string - no metal rivets. I believe the use of wood joints to connect the arms and legs to the body, instead of metal rivets, indicate this is an older version of the toy.
Works perfectly. You squeeze the bottom of the legs together and it makes him jump and spin in a variety of positions.
Very sharp overall. Some light wear at the edges and surface where one leg rubs the body. My mother's name "Rowena" is printed in pencil on the bottom of the platform. The price "5" cents is written on the top of of the platform. Classic depression era character toy. Approx 8 inches tall x 2 inches.
