Maple Onyx gives you a rich, dark floor with a smooth surface and low gloss. Hard Maple is one of the densest domestic hardwoods on the market, so it holds up to heavy foot traffic, kids, and furniture far better than softer species.
This is a 5 ply cross grain engineered build with a 3 mm wear layer up top. The cross-ply core makes it far more stable than solid wood, so you can run it over concrete, in basements, and in rooms with humidity swings. The 3 mm wear layer is thick enough to sand and refinish if you ever need to.
