Pictured are only a few of the animals currently on stray hold hoping an owner will be coming to look for them. An animal is only on stray hold for 5 days (10 if microchipped) from the day it arrives ....on Day 6 (or 11) ownership of that animal transfers to the Shelter and they will decide its outcome.
The Shelter is not a doggy daycare or in any way an enjoyable time for these animals. They are in jail, confused and scared missing their family. PLEASE do the right thing by your pet and come IN PERSON to search for them.
The Shelter can only house around 200 dogs so in order to save as many lives as possible owners MUST COME IMMEDIATELY to reclaim their missing pets. Owned dogs who have a home need to leave so there are available kennels for those who have no home. COME ON PEOPLE, STEP UP AND DO THE RIGHT THING....don't just let your pet sit here at the shelter unidentified.
If you are unable to come in person go to the Shelter website and search through the Found Pets section where incoming pets are pictured, and then file an online lost report attaching a picture of your missing one so that staff can compare your photo against those animals being brought in. PLEASE
