We’re hiring Utility Laborers to support our HDD, mini-excavator, and restoration crews.
What you’ll do
- Pothole/daylight existing utilities by hand or with vac to prevent strikes
- Assist HDD crews: set up/tear down, mix drilling fluids, run vac, handle rods
- Set and level telecom vaults/handholes, pedestals, and pull boxes; backfill/compact
- Pull fiber/conduit, install mule tape/locate wire, place markers as directed
- Trenching, backfill, compaction, grading, and site restoration (seed/straw/asphalt/cold patch)
- Traffic control/flagging; spot for equipment; maintain a clean, safe jobsite
- Load/unload materials, stage tools/equipment, secure loads
- Basic daily checks on tools/vehicles and report issues
What you bring
- 6+ months construction/utility/civil labor experience preferred (will train the right candidates)
- Safety-first mindset; knows or can learn 811/One-Call and safe potholing
- Can lift 75 lbs, work outdoors in all weather, and handle 8–12 hour days as needed
- Reliable transportation and on-time attendance; valid driver’s license preferred (CDL A is a plus)
- Able to follow directions, communicate clearly, and work as a team
Schedule, pay, and perks
- Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays; overtime after 40
- Pay DOE: $18–$25/hr + OT
- Paid weekly
- Company tools/equipment and safety gear provided
- Growth path to Locator, Drill Operator, or Equipment Operator
