"Berta" is a 4-year-old third freshening doe with size and body capacity for days. She is an AI daughter of Kismet 8 Spot Going Komando, and she has settled to AI herself before. She has raised two kids each year she's freshened. I cannot stress how capacious she is. She has good udder texture and has a decently balanced udder (she could use more MSL.) She is currently dry. If colour is your thing, she often throws pinto kids. She has substance and bone but could use more dairy strength. I've put typey bucks on her and gotten kids with improved dairy character and retained substance.
She has not been trained to hand or machine milk. She favours one half of her udder after kidding but lets kids nurse that half after a few days of discomfort. Other than that, she's been a good dam and takes care of her kids. She doesn't fit in my program anymore (keeping three doelings will do that.)
