Have you heard about the recent renovations on Flowride, the one-way (downhill only) jump/flow trail in the Blue River Parkway (BuRP) trail system, near Blue Ridge Blvd.? Well, here's the perfect machine to find some of that flow and send it!!!
Or, this would also make a great bike for a kid who is outgrowing 20" BMX wheels.
I purchased this brand new from Velo+ in Lenexa (now called Southwind Cycle, I think) in 2017 for my (then) pre-teen. He rode it some, but was always busy with other activities, and didn't ride as much as I would have liked. The bike has a few scratches (including one larger scratch high on the drive-side fork leg as pictured, where the fork unfortunately rubbed against a vehicle bike rack), but other than that, it's in excellent condition. It's lot of fun to ride (even just around the neighborhood) and is built to take a ton of abuse.
Did I mention that a few years ago, before the renovation, *I* took it down Flowride a bunch of times?!?! What a blast that was. Kind of terrifying for an old fart without a front brake, but I have only minor regrets...
The bike is completely stock, with a strong-yet-lightweight chromoly steel frameset (you can easily swap in a suspension fork, if you like), 3-piece chromoly cranks with 25t chainring, sealed bearings, strong 36-spoke wheels with double-wall rims, 26x2.3" tires with cool grey sidewalls, and a Tektro rear disc brake. The front wheel has disc type hub, and the fork has caliper brackets, making it easy to add a front disc brake, should you desire.
The rear cog is currently an 18t (easier to climb back up to the top of Flowride!), but I still have the stock, stamped steel cog (I think it was 16t), plus an assortment of smaller sizes, in case you are looking for more speed on flat pavement.
Looks like Haro might still making Steel Reserves, and they haven't changed much over the years (because they were always dope). The latest 1 is currently sold out but was selling for $600. This used 1 is better looking, and is a steal at just $400. Get it before it's gone!
Price is firm, cash only (in person), no trades, yadda yadda yadda. Thanks for looking!
