Required Skills and Experience:
- 5 to 7 years' experience in working with a major wireless operator in a performance management function
- Strong communication & presentation skills (Customer & internal Alcatel-lucent engagements)
- In-depth knowledge of 3G and 4G Wireless architectures in the following areas: CDMA 1x Voice/EVDO, LTE, Backhaul (IPBH, EBH, MW BH), IP, LGP, WIN, and/or service delivery platforms
- Experience in supporting Tier1 US wireless operator and overall understanding of Provider's processes and network is necessary
- Ability to gain the trust of the customer is critical
- Need outstanding inter-personal skills with a positive and can-do attitude
- Experience teaming with other ALU service delivery teams

Manager needs people who are adept are HVAC units and quick studies. They need to have a bit of personality as they will be dealing with customers face to face. Manager does not expect them to know everything but they need to be coachable.
They will be installing programmable thermostats as part of a demand response program for a local utility. The Field Service Specialist will be required to prequalify the units -- make sure they are working before installing the thermostat -- because when a customer has a pre-existing issue the company tends to get blamed for it. The Field Service Specialist will educate customers about use of the thermostat and the program that goes along with it. They will run service calls on installed devices that may have issues and they are on-call on a rotational basis. The Field Service Specialist WILL NOT make any repairs to the HVAC units.

Additonal Info:

-Hours are typically 8am to 5pm and shifts may run over if they don't start their day on time or get stuck on an install.
-Overtime is going to be rare and at this time the manager does not expect any Saturday work.
-The Field Service Specialist will be required to wear certain Personal Protective Equipment but can only use the company's supplied tools -- basically, the company will supply everything including uniforms.
-They also have Fleet vehicles so you will not use your personal cars.
-Must have High School Diploma and HVAC Certification
-Driving is required

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline along with 3+ years telecom engineering, programming and design experience.
Strong understanding of telecommunications networks and VoIP platforms
Demonstrable experience with enterprise IP telephony, PBX, Voice/Unified Messaging, and Call/ Contact Center (ACD, IVR, CTI) system design and administration.
Advanced understanding of networking technologies and components such as routers, switches, firewalls, etc.

Other duties would be to design, construct, install, and troubleshoot new PLC systems for machine controls.
