Thats a great delusion you have cooked up in your feeble mind, but unfortunately, its not true. I am very interested to know how you KNOW there is a God. Please share your proof and evidence with us, or is your belief just based on blind faith? Secondly, since you know there is a God, how do you know which God it is? Every God that has even been thought up by mankind has exactly the same number of supporting facts and the same evidence to support them: NOTHING. The fact is, evolution is true and invisible beings do not exist. Whether you like it or not, that is a true fact of life in 2008. Until someone can find a single piece of evidence to refute one of the millions of facts in support of evolution, it will stand as true as it has for the past 150 years.

Atheists do not hate God because you can't hate something that isn't there. We just feel it is an archaic and not to mention stupid idea. The bible was WRITTEN BY MEN 2000 years ago, when a wheelbarrow would have been emergent technology. Even with all the information we have uncovered over the past few hundred years, you still choose to cling to a book full of a number of falsehoods as the explanation for things about life? It just doesn't make any sense!

What I wonder is why you feel the bible has any authority or how you know it is true. Not only is it chock full of completely false information, but it also promotes archaic ideas like slavery, rape, murder as punishment for silly things, and women as second class citizens. This is completely understandable as it was written by men 2000 years ago when things like that were acceptable to society. Not only that, but all of the extraordinary claims (virgin birth, resurrection, miracles, etc.) do not have a single source outside of the bible. Don't you think that if all those supernatural things were happening that SOMEONE SOMEWHERE would have written a detailed account of it? There is absolutely no evidence that anything extraordinary that the bible talks about happened, so why believe it? Also consider that the New Testament was written a few hundred years after Jesus even lived which means the stories of Jesus in the bible had to have been passed down by word of mouth for 200+ years. Have you ever played the game telephone? Even a simple sentence usually can't get passed through 15 people successfully, and yet you put all your stock in an old book that had to be passed down by word of mouth for 200 years before it was recorded. It just makes no sense, but I'm interested to hear you try to explain why it has any authority.

Please see my other post "Simple Logic..." for more reasons why it is easy to see that God does not exist.
