Leawood thinks everything is a "rhetorical question". Ever notice that? When asked why he didn't address something, he says, "because it was a rhetorical questions and you didn't really want an answer". Well, here's some news for ya buddy! If I didn't want an answer, I wouldn't ask the question!!!!

Apparently you think it's okay to make crazy accusations against someone (as long as they are a conservative) and not have to answer for the thing you say. I think that's crap. If you are going to say something about me, back it up. If you don't, I will call you out on it. And guess what else? I'm going to continue using the term "call you out" because it does not belong to you, Obama, or anyone else. It's words. English language. Obama didn't invent it, he wasn't the first one to use it, and he doesn't have it copyrighted. So, Obama can "call out" Fox News for "lying" about him, but a conservative isn't suppossed to call out others for making ridiculous and unfounded accusations about them? Nice double standard there, my friend.

Leawood said:
"To me, these are rhetorical at best. "Why do you claim to know....." isn't a question. It's a statement. Asking someone why anyone chooses to know something is silly."

**Here's the kicker. To YOU, they are rhetorical, but to the one who asks them, they are not. See, I don't treat people like that. I don't claim to know where you stand unless you've SAID where you stand! I may question you about where you stand, but I will not claim that you hold a belief that you have not expressed. YOU'VE done that to me, and BS has certainly done that to me, and I see it done to others. And I want to know what makes you, or anyone else, think that's okay!

You gave several examples of my questions, yet you left a lot of them out, such as:
"Do you realize that there are nearly 60 co-sponsors of HR 25, the FairTax bill, in congress as we speak?"

"Would you consider a nobel-prize winning economist to be smarter than us on economic and tax policy issues?" (Realize, this is in response to BS claiming there's nobody smarter than us supporting the FairTax.)

"Tell me...what about making the U.S. the most financially beneficial place to locate a business and employ people is BAD for ANYONE in our country??? Also, what is your alternative? Do you think you can legislate businesses into locating here? Do you forget that the economy is global these days? Do you understand the FACT that businesses are responsible for increasing the wealth of their shareholders, NOT for the well-being of our country, no matter how much we wish they were more concerned with that?"
These are most certainly NOT rhetorical questions!!!

"Seriously...what is your solution? How do you propose that we go about bringing jobs back? "
Rhetorical, Leawood? Really???

"Please explain to me WHEN "Republican" became a religion?"
Yet another ridiculous claim that I am not suppossed to challenge, huh?

"Have you read the FairTax Book?"
Legitimate question since people want to act like they know what they are talking about when it comes to the FairTax, yet they make completely false statements about it repeatedly.

"Why insult Lag for relating her experiences when you have said that your experiences have shaped your views?"
I'd seriously like to know why it is necessary to insult others for doing what you claim to do as well. I want to understand that line of thinking, because I certainly don't share in it.

"Do you think that if people knew they could not "fall back" on abortion that they would not take more responsibility for preventing pregnancy to begin with? Right now, there are no consequences, so many take the attitude of, "I probably won't get pregnant anyway, and if I do, I can get an abortion, so it's not THAT big of a deal to use birth control." Do you think I'm wrong aobut that?"
Are these not legitimate questions in the abortion debate?

"Is an unborn baby a human life?"
"Should ANYONE be allowed to legally end a human life other than death penalty situations?"
"Why is it reasonable to not hold people accountable for their actions?"
These are all questions that should be able to be answered if you hold a pro-choice position.

So...you kind of left out all THOSE questions in your post, didn't you Leawood? (Not rhetorical.) Why did you leave out those questions which were very pertinent to the issues being discussed? (Not rhetorical.)

Here's the deal...if I lie...CALL ME OUT!!! If I accuse you of holding a position that you have never advocated...CALL ME OUT!!! Sometimes, I'm wrong, and if and when you show me that, I'll admit my mistake and apologize for it. Haven't you seen me do that? (Okay, that's rhetorical, no need to answer!)

I just think this whole excuse of "it's a rhetorical quesiton" is totally lame. But if it's the best you've got, well, that speaks volumes.
