Parents. Please check everything you can about your providers. Our child was abused in a CENTER so we were adamant about finding a caregiver for our child that would fit our needs. We of course were scared to death and after the first go around.. We were scared but decided Home Childcare was a route we wanted to try. In the process we found that if we checked/GOOGLED NAMES, Married and Maiden which you can do if you search court records for marriage licenses.. Just please take the time to also check. phone numbers, EMAIL addresses after correspondence and HOME addresses , we were able to find out alot. Also the Johnson County Court Documents on court cases and civil lawsuits can be found as well.

Here is just a bit of what we found out.. Within the past 2 months there are people advertising with the same number as daycares that they are looking for roomates.. (one never knows if they have checked the sexual predator registry). Several have records with the police dept and the others I would just never leave my child with as you know they are BABYSITTING, Not CAREGIVING. We have decided on a great provider and we just want other parents to not go through what we went through so we are here to help.

Please do your own checks. It is worth the 2 minutes to check a name and find out just make sure you have the right persons name. Maiden and married. You have to feel it.. and Feel that it is right. You will know. Make sure you background check EVERYONE that will be around your child above 18 yrs of age. Children of the caregiver, ROOMATES and boyfriend or girlfriends. This is really important. I have seen other providers who are legal helping to keep the legal postings up and if I could ask for your help in keeping this information as a proud parent who at least took the time to post this I would hope that you would continue to post my information with my permission up for other new potential parents up so they know what to look for. My biggest complaint about centers and schools is the low-quality food that they provide.

There is plenty of room for the kids to play inside and a large, fenced back yard. Everyday we will have arts and crafts time, song and dance time and lots of fun! My home is smoke-free and pet-free, though we may be getting a guinea pig in the near future.

I have 2 of my own children age 1 and age 7 (currently home-schooled). I have had classes in education and child psychology, and have had much childcare experience, including a job in a center. I also volunteered twice a week in my son's kindergarten. I love working with children, and develop bonds quickly. I am actively involved with the kids that I watch. I love to play, read, and really get to know them.

Your children will have my full attention and dedication. I have been reading some of the arguments about childcare on this site, and it should go without saying, but I will NOT be watching television or surfing the internet during childcare hours.

Good to know. I was right that the fact that anyone wanting to care for even their own family, still have to count them. You can only have 3 under the age of 18 mos and you have to combine the hours of all kids to TOTAL 20 hours between them all. Thank you for posting. I am tired of people just starting up pop up daycares and then thinking they can just babysit anyone. AND ANYONE in the home including the OWNERS must be background checked. That is my understanding. EVEN if it is SOMEONE ELSES HOME. YOU CAN'T DO CARE IN KANSAS WITHOUT A LICENSE OR REGISTRATION at your OWN home or even at SOMEONE elses. Even if you state it in your ad you are not an inhome provider if you are in a home and caring for more than 2 kids you are still by LAW considered acting as an In Home daycare. Regardless of how you try to word it.

Mother of two with over six years of in-home daycare experience has immediate openings for any age.

Rates are low because I have been there and I understand how hard it is to pay for good daycare on a new family income.

Rates start at $80 per week for one or two children, then drops to $60 for the third and fourth. If you work part time, which is three days a work week, it is $20 a day.

I understand not all jobs have bankers hours, so I have a very flexible schedule. Overtime rates are also low, just $5 per hour per child.

I also have drop-in weekend (or weeknight) babysitting unless that day is marked off on my calander. $7 per hour for babysitting.

Two nutritious meals and one snack are provided for every full time child. If you work overtime and a third meal is required, a small fee will be included in the overtime fees. Snacks are included in babysitting, if they are here long enough to require one meal, that will also be provided.

I'm Cindy, an elementary teacher with 11 years of teaching experience. I am taking a break from the classroom right now while my children are young. I am fully licensed with the state of Kansas. I will have 2 full-time openings in mid January and have 2 part-time spots starting now. I am not currently taking any infants under 18 months.

I have a BIG, beautiful, smoke-free home with lots of play areas and a big fenced backyard with lots of climbing sets, sand & water table and toys. We have tons of room inside as well! Your child will not be confined in a small room all day long in my house! Kids are free to move about the entire main floor, plus my finished basement is a giant playroom. There are lots of toys and room for everyone.

We have lunch and at least 2 snacks a day-I'll never let a child go hungry even if they need an extra snack. Breakfast can be discussed per need. I charge $33 for full day ($165 week) and $22 for half-day-less than 5 hours. (I do offer a sibling discount if one family takes both spots.) Even if you are full-time, you'll pay only for the days your child is actually here. Example: I do not charge you if your child is sick and can't make it in one day, spring break or if you go on vacation. Just as I would not charge you if I go on vacation or if my children were sick. We do lots of art, literature and music as well as have a great time with old fashioned play. Older children that don't nap get more preschool based 'play' while the other kiddos are sleeping.

The days of the week are unsure at the moment but I need someone at least 4 days per week as I work at home one day per week. I also have 2 school aged kids that get home around 4:15 so there may be an occassion that my husband works later than normal and the older kids walk home but they need very little supervision. I am open to a stay at home mom who needs to bring her kids as I was a stay at home mom for years and understand that convenience. I am a stay at home mom of a 3 year old boy and we would love to have some playmates during the day. If you are looking for care then you have come to the right place. I am willing to take kids full time or part time. I have some spots left so hurry and get your spot before they are all taken. I have openings for infants and toddlers upto 3 years old. My home is a smoke free home. My hours are 6am-6pm M-F with no night or no weekends. My rates are $100.00/week for full time. Feel free to ask me what my part time rates are. Sibling discounts are offered as well so feel free to ask me. For those that will be here all day breakfast, lunch and snacks will be served. We have a huge basement that has been converted to the playroom/daycare area. There will be some activities through out the day(age appropriate of course) and weather permitting we will go outside and play as well. I have been a teachers assistant in an all age school as well as a camp instructor for the YMCA. I have been a babysitter since I was 14 and can provide detailed references. I can help do homework, as well as meal preparation. I make healthy meals that you would feel happy about. I always clean up after myself and the children. I enjoy teaching kids new activities and I like to keep them engaged in things other then tv and video games. I find fun ways to teach kids new information through games and projects. I have no problem watching multiple children in varying age ranges. I also have no problems with any types of pets.
