I am a single mother with a bright two-year-old daughter looking to rent a nice, updated, 2-3 bedroom/1-2 baths house, or duplex. A little bit of info on myself: I'm a full-time college student originally from Michigan,non-smoker, non-drinker, extremely quiet and respectful. I take great pride in my home, so not to worry!:)The area must be safe, diverse, charming, well kept, and quiet. An example of this would be the Waldo area. I'd love to reside in south KC overall, possibly even Johnson County (OP, Olathe). We would love to have hardwood floors on the main floor, a nice yard and central air. Hi, I am trying to find a rental, either apt, duplex, it really doesn't matter. The place I am living now is not only not safe, they managment doesn't keep their word, even when it is in writing. I am very frustrated as I am a single mom with a sick child. I dont' have a lot of money, but I work hard and I am trying to find a safer place for my children. I don't drink or smoke, and my children are well behaved- most of the time! I do have 1 small cat, fixed and declawed. I get faithful child support, and I do work, but I dont' have a lot of money for deposits, and quite frankly after this last experience I am nervous trusting anyone. I only can make so much money with my child support so my daughter can have medicaid- otherwise her insurance deductible is too high for me to take her to the doctor. Have rented for 18 years from same landlord. Never ask for anything other than stopped-up drains and similar things to be done. Have done some work ourselves so we would not have to bother landlord. We treat the home as though it were our own and keep it clean and neat inside and out. It's just my husband and I and 3 well behaved cats. No children, no dogs. The home we've been renting looks better now than it did when we first moved in.
I will not allow smokers in home and we are good, decent, moral Christians.
