White Westinghouse Deep Chest Freezer HUGE (Kansas City)
This thing looks good and runs great! You're going to need LOTS of food to ever fill this freezer to capacity. Perfect for the big family who can't seem to fit everything they need in the kitchen freezer (less trips to the grocery store). Or for the hunters out there, maybe your spouse is like mine and doesn't like the thought of you storing your wild game next to the frozen pizzas. With this freezer, you've got a viable solution to the problem! (It should be noted that I never stored wild game in this particular freezer)
Don't go all the way to Sear's or Nebraska Furniture Mart and pay well over $600 or $700 for a chest freezer of these dimensions brand new! I'll also include the wooden frame made of "2 by 4's" pictured below the freezer. You don't have to take it if you don't want to, but it will help out with overall energy efficiency. We built the frame specifically for this freezer for two reasons: (1) Better ventilation by raising it up from direct contact with the floor; and (2) To prevent the sides from mildewing caused by direct contact with a sometimes moist concrete floor in the garage.
Asking price is $200 obo. Remember, its got the White Westinghouse brand name which means its a quality product and not some cheap generic off-brand you'll find at a discount store. I'll certainly consider other offers, but remember, a quality freezer like this isn't going to stay on the market long at such a fair price.
Dimensions for the freezer are as follows:
Width: 53 in
Depth: 27 1/2 in
Height: 34 1/4 in
The height is without the wooden frame. So you would have to add another 4 inches to the height to account for the frame. (By the way, the frame isn't nailed onto the freezer. It simply rest on top)
I live just north of Liberty off I-35 and 291 Hwy. If pick up is a problem, I would consider delivering it anywhere in the metro area for a rate of 30 cents per mile.
