Under limited supervision of the Coding Manager /Director, the Coding Analyst utilizes knowledge of ICD9 CM, and CPT coding principles, ED/ E&M coding as well as financial class requirements in order to accurately assign the appropriate codes within a medical record for reimbursement requirements.
Qualifications
Education: RHIT or RHIA or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist). Two years coding experience with ICD9 CM and CPT 4, may be substituted for Health Information Management graduate.

The Patient Access Supervisor supervises the SJMC and SMMC Emergency Department registration, insurance verification, collections, and financial advocacy process and programs. I broke my neck 24 years ago in a diving accident. But I'm very healthy (physically and mentally). I have no use of my legs and limited arm movement, but I have a very active life and live in my own house (with three roommates who help out). My nurses come mornings to bathe, dress, transfer from bed to wheelchair, and help with personal hygiene. We've got it down to a system that can be done in 45 minutes to an hour (if working fast). $40 per visit.
I generally have three or four nurses who have regular morning shifts throughout the week, but who rotate and trade to cover visits when the others want/need off. In the past I had a nurse for ten years who then became a nurse practitioner and moved on. And had another that was with me three years. Right now we're looking for someone to fill the every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday mornings) shift, plus be available for occasionally trading other mornings and fill-ins.
The work is not 'hard.' But you have to have some strength to move me around. The hardest part of the job for some is abandoning their intuition and predisposed ideas of how to get the job done. Some people struggle learning the routine/system because they have a picture in their mind of how things will work. Or they try to figure out what to do for themselves, rather than listening and learning the efficient system developed over 24 years. Auditory and kinesthetic learners tend to catch on more quickly than visual learners. Some people just have a strong sub-conscious desire to do it 'their way.' They don't work out well. I've had many nurses say, "I wish I would have just listened from the beginning." For those who can override their predisposition and learn the steps of the system (which is not intuitive), this is a great position and a great source of extra money. Nurses who stick around for ten and three-plus years should be some indication.

Summary of Responsibilities:
The Clinical Help Desk Analysts’ role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks required for the delivery of exceptional care. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level. This includes providing on-line, real time support and first-line troubleshooting on all clinical, financial, and micro-computer hardware and software, telecommunications hardware and software, all peripheral fax/copier hardware and software, and coordinating maintenance services by outside vendors. The Help Desk Technician will maintain and log all calls to the support center database application for call tracking and SLA requirements.
This person must be personable with good people skills, phone skills and be able to multi-task. The massage therapist will give therapy massages to our pain patients and facilitate therapy exercise programs as mandated by the physcian.

Position Summary
This position will direct and oversee a 100+ person call center that will be added to support the growth of CareCentrix. This position will oversee the complete operations of patient processing including patient registration, eligibility and benefit verification, provider assignment, re-authorization processing, and HME activities/processes. This position will manage the centers P& L, budget, performance metrics and will collaborate with other CareCentrix support functions, including provider services, performance improvement, IT, finance, account management-sales, and human resources to optimize operational performance, and customer and employee satisfaction. Strong call center experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Required Education / Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business/ Health Care Administration or the equivalent plus a minimum of ten years experience in a call center environment including four years with strong leadership and managerial skills. Clinician preferred RN/ LPN but not required.

Responsible for assisting individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse problems to improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments as well as provide clinical guidance.
Essential Job Functions:
•Complete intake/screening/assessment process within appropriate time frames as designated by DMH/CARF/agency standards.
