Double Joy Mothers of Multiples will be hosting our yearly Mom's May event, a progressive dinner, on the evening of Saturday, May 3rd. Food and soft drinks will be provided by the club.
Please forward this information to anyone you know who has multiples and might be interested in our group. With more and more women having multiples it is important to get the word out that there is a group of women who strive to give emotional support to those families. Having twins or more can be very stressful on parents and other siblings, that is why we are here. Sometimes it is helpful to have someone who shares the same experiences and can offer advice and support while you work through all the stages of raising children, multiplied.
Double Joy is a member club of The National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs. NOMOTC suggests that expecting parents should contact a local multiples club prior to the birth of their multiples. Their reasons include the benefits of extensive club libraries on the topic of multiples, help in locating good used baby equipment, and also the ability for new parents to make connections with members so that they don’t find themselves struggling through the early stages with no one to turn to for hints and suggestions.
