The Rhys Media Console is framed in solid mahogany with a paneled design. It has three drawers, as well as two adjustable shelves on each side behind tempered glass doors. All have a kiln-dried hardwood frame and cord cutouts. The dovetailed drawers feature ring pulls and label holders that are cast of brass with an antique-bronze finish. Console can accommodate flat-panel TVs up to 50" in width. Espresso stain.
COMPOSITION & CONSTRUCTION
Made of solid meranti wood, MDF (medium density fiberboard), and meranti veneer. MDF, a man-made fiberboard consisting of wood fibers and resin binders, is known for its strength and stability, and is commonly used as a base for veneers. It features uniform consistency with no knots, and while it has about the same density as medium-weight hardwood, it is structurally more stable. It won't crack, and finishes adhere well to it, which results in a smooth end coat. Glass doors with solid meranti wood frame and metal bin pulls. Hand-applied multi-step oil-based finish.
