    Assist in Engineering Product and Process improvement studies by evaluating process control wafers and process characterizations as needed. Evaluate and disposition maverick product in the area, with the help of the Product Engineer.<br>
Assist in evaluation of process and material changes that will help to reduce cost and improve yield, quality, and throughput.<br>
Establish good channels of communication for all shifts and support the area team in maintaining pass-down logs, equipment status, etc. to improve communication in the area.<br>
 Provide Area documentation in the form of Shop Instructions, FMEAs, ECNs, TECNs, and SWRs.<br>

1.       Responsible for strategic planning, departmental budget planning and establishing goals and targets for the Aurora Mississippi Manufacturing Engineering Department to support the overall facility and company targets and goals. <br>
2.       Responsible for establishment, maintenance and continuity of the manufacturing process from plant layout, tooling and equipment design, through delivery to the customer. <br>
3.       Coordinates with the Aurora Virginia design engineering team on designs and design changes to ensure effective transition into manufacturing; Schedules MFG Engineering work load to achieve a smooth implementation of work and changes. <br>
4.       Works with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance to implement production launches. <br>
5.       Oversees and leads department staff and identifies, defines, and provides training and mentoring to ME staff. <br>
6.       Participates in vendor selection, process development, continuous improvement, and problem resolution. <br>
7.       Monitors and supports prototype/pilot build activities in the factory. <br>
8.       Approves all Purchase Requisitions generated by the MFG. ENG. Dept. <br>
9.       Leads and mentors the MFG. ENG. Dept in skills development (staying abreast of all new technologies with a focus on aerospace composite structures in cutting, molding, and fabrication). <br>
10.     Mfg M&P leader coordinating with Design M&P leader to develop and deploy advanced materials and processes (e.g. SBCF, Pi clips, etc.)   <br>
   Minimum Requirements (education and experience): <br>
1.      Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferred masters in mechanical engineering management and manufacturing technology preferred. <br>
2.      Minimum 10 years of technical and management experience working with in an aerospace manufacturing environment. <br>
3.      Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and proven organizational skills. <br>
4.      Strong PC skills using CAD a plus. <br>
5.      Has expert composites M&P knowledge and experience in aircraft composite molding, fabrication, tooling, and processing. <br>

Summary:<br>

Analyzes preliminary engineering-design concepts of unmanned aerial vehicle systems including all sub-systems (e.g. propulsion, airframe, C3 and other avionics) and recommend design and/or test validation methods for attaining customer-specified operational reliability using knowledge of reliability engineering and other technologies.<br>

Analyzes preliminary plans and develops reliability engineering program to achieve customer reliability objectives. <br>
Analyzes projected product utilization and calculates cumulative effect on final system reliability of individual part reliabilities. Drafts/manages FMEAs (failure mode and effect analyses) and/or formulates predictive mathematical reliability models using computer-aided engineering equipment to identify excessive failure risks and to support proposed changes in design. <br>
Enters data to simulate electrical inputs, transient conditions, temperature, stress, and other factors to develop computer models, and analyzes and adjusts design to predict and improve system reliability. <br>
Advises and confers with engineers in design review meetings to give reliability findings and recommendations. Determines units requiring environmental testing and specifies minimum number of samples to obtain statistically valid data. <br>
Reviews subcontractors' proposals for reliability program and submits evaluation for decision. Reviews engineering specifications and drawings, proposing design modifications to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements. <br>
Observes conduct of tests at supplier, plant, or field locations to evaluate reliability factors such as numbers and causes of unit failures. Monitors failure data generated by customer using product to ascertain potential requirement for product improvement. <br>

BS engineering; MS engineering preferred. Aero, mechanical, or avionics preferred. Extremely strong degreed quality professionals with right skills and experience will be considered. <br>
10+ years of directly applicable experience in aircraft reliability analyses <br>
Aircraft systems and sub-systems design engineering experience required. <br>
Expert with MTBF, MTTF, MTTR, MTBUR, FMEA, fault tree analyses, reliability block diagrams, etc. deterministic methodologies and capability to calculate system and sub-system % availability and R-values <br>
Creates, analyses, and maintains Weibull, exponential, etc. models <br>
Expert with stds including SAE JA1000, Mil-STD-810, Mil-STD-217 <br>
Expert with sensitivity analyses, reliability factor allocation and optimization methodologies <br>
Experienced with reliability growth test design and execution incl. HALT, HASS <br>
