I was faced with this exact question when I went through my unwanted divorce about 18 months ago.
My degree is in Youth Ministry and in order to return to that career (I was a stay at home mom before the divorce), I would have had to move. For the kids' sake, I didn't think moving them away from their dad was a good move.
So, now what?
Holy Cow!! Day care costs... are you kidding??? How on earth was I supposed to get a "normal" job, have the kids in day care, and after I finished paying for child care, have any money left to pay my bills?
I still haven't figured that one out yet.
The good news is that I didn't have to!
I found Passion Parties.
Yup. I said Passion Parties.
"Isn't that selling, um... 'toys' and stuff like that?"
That's what I thought at first too, but it is SO much more than that.
I could talk about it for hours, but I'll share this one story with you...
One of my WORST parties sales-wise had only 3 people there, including the hostess. I went ahead and presented my demo as if there were 30 people there. A week later, one of the ladies from that original party attended another party. In the confidential ordering room, she quietly said "Janette, I didn't tell you this last week, but my husband and I were sleeping in separate beds. Now, because of what I learned at the Passion Party last week, we started talking again, and we are even in the same bed again!"
I was almost in tears when she confessed that to me! Wow!
At that exact moment, I finally understood that I do more than sell "those" kind of toys. I'm empowering women to care for themselves and improve their relationships.
Wow. Goose bumps.
So, YES, I do THOSE parties for a living and I love it!
YES, I am supporting my family on my Passion Parties income.
